10 tips to help you lose weight!
80–90% of your overall food intake should come from wholesome foods, e.g., whole grains, fruits, non-starchy veggies, starchy veggies, avocado, eggs, nuts, and seeds.
Allow for 10-20% of your total food intake to come from processed foods or “treats” if you so wish
Eat protein with every meal or snack, this will boost your metabolic rate.
Drink 2 glasses (approx 500ml) of water with each meal.
Aim to snack on low to moderate carbohydrate and high-protein sources.
Choose a plate size relevant to your macronutrient goal and weight.
Consume green fibrous vegetables with each meal to trick the body into thinking you're eating more, slow down carbohydrate entry into the blood, control insulin intake, and are low in calories.
Add healthy fats to each meal; it keeps you fuller for longer and helps regulate hormones, as well as providing energy which is crucial as you may choose for a low carb intake.
Add seasoning to foods for tastier food, so it's easier and more fun to eat. I hope you already do this...
